Facing Tides Theatre is a theatre-in-education company delivering live performances and workshops that focus on the harmful effects of addictions.
Its primary aim to provide schools and youth organisations with professional active learning experiences.
Our vision is to work with pupils at PSHE Key Stage 3 and 4 and the wider circle of adults involved in their well-being.
We hope our initiative helps to break open the taboos and stigmas associated with addictive behaviours and create opportunities to talk openly about these issues.
Through drama and workshops we will:
- Explore the subject of addiction;
- Enable participants to express fears in a safe environment;
- Provide professional help and resources for participants in understanding addiction;
- Highlight the valuable work of charities such as Action on Addiction, the National Association of Children Of Alcoholics and Children Of Alcoholic Parents and People.
